The School of Community Health and Behavioral Sciences offers students interdisciplinary education and research excellence; drawing on novel health technologies and data literacy to address society’s most pressing public health issues.
Students in The School are prepared to be the next generation of public health innovators and thought leaders; empowered to effect real change by leveraging new and emerging technologies and data.
The School is designed to improve individuals, communities, and society through three pillars of excellence:

Adrianna Boulin, MPH ‘16

Adrianna’s divine mission is to help humans reach their full potential. She loves creating spaces where communities can come together in authentic and unified ways that deepen our connection to ourselves, to each other and promote healing. Adrianna’s work focuses on authenticity, healing, health equity, and community engagement.

Adrianna is the President of Boston Pride for the People whose mission is to amplify the beauty, rich diversity, unique culture, and intersectionality of the LGBTQ+ community through empowerment, education, commemoration, and celebration. As President Adrianna collaborates with other board and committee members to organize the annual pride parade and festival in Boston, and work to uplift the work happening across Boston in our LGBTQ+ communities lead by other LGBTQ+ individuals, groups, and organizations in Boston.

Adrianna is the Director of Community Impact and Engagement at Fenway Health, she helps the organization understand and enhance the impact its programs, services, and care on its patients, clients, and community. She serves as the organizational representative on several local coalitions and boards such as the Black Boston COVID-19 Coalition and CHNA/CHIP Collaborative Steering Committee. In the research division, she focused on authentic engagement, education, and clinical research recruitment to build community knowledge, understanding, trust, and connection to the clinical research process.

Adrianna is a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), and Member at Large of the Council of Affiliates (CoA). The Council of Affiliates is a body of 53 state and regional public health associations across the USA. As Chair of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion working group of the CoA she aims to support the growth and evolution of justice in action through public health. In collaboration with two colleagues within APHA Adrianna has coauthored an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Toolkit geared toward supporting smaller organizations to step toward building equity, diversity, and inclusion within and throughout their organization.

Binja Basimike, MPH ‘14

Binja Basimike ‘14 is a Connector, Digital Marketer, Foodpreneur Investor and former Healthcare Business Systems Consultant. Since making her move from Boston to Kinshasa, Binja has since established three Kinshasa based companies: Diaspat, Kivu Brand Architects and Kivu Venture Capital.

Through these ventures Binja engages with Congolese creatives and entrepreneurs in the pursuit of the development of the Democratic Republic of Congo - her home country. Binja is a double husky! She received both her B.S. in Health Sciences and her Master’s in Public Health from Northeastern University. She is a Bouvé College Service Medal Recipient. Binja is also a published oncology co-author: Excellent Care for Cancer Survivors: A Guide to Fully Meet Their Needs in Medical Offices and in the Community.  Binja is part of Northeastern University’s Women Who Empower ambassador program where she serves as a mentor and ambassador. She also sits on the Bouvé College of Health Science’s Advisory Board.
